CES therapy combined with 4-8-7 breathing technique to treat insomnia

Nearly 1/2 of adults over 60 years old suffer from sleep disorders.  Some or our clients that have been using CES therapy to treat insomnia have included the 4-8-7 breathing technique into their nightly regimen with very positive results.

What is the 4-8-7 breathing technique?

To do the 4-8-7 breathing technique, you first need to exhale completely while making a "whoosh" sound.  Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of FOUR.

Now hold your breath for a count of SEVEN.

After this time has elapsed, exhale completely through your mouth, making another whoosh sound for EIGHT seconds in one large breath.

Now inhale again and repeat the cycle three times for a total of four breaths.

Always inhale through your nose and exhale audibly through your mouth.  This technique was introduced by Dr. Weil, a Harvard trained Dr.

4-8-7 breathing technique with CES Therapy to treat Insomnia

Clients that have been treating insomnia with CES therapy/cranial electrotherapy stimulation have been experiencing positive results combining CES therapy with the 4-8-7 breathing technique.

To do this, they are simply using Myocalme CES therapy as recommended to treat insomnia.  This involves using the CES therapy device for about 30 minutes approximately three hours before bedtime.  It's recommended that you allow about three hours to "wind down" if you are using CES therapy to treat insomnia or sleep disorders.
